There are various types of obstacles that you have to deal with, such as a rope that is blocking your way, a tile that is in the way, and a magnet that is attracting the lines to it.
If you are having trouble, then you can use the hint button. The hint button will show you the next line that you need to untangle. However, you can only use the hint button once per level.
